The main objective of founding  this institution is to impart quality education through value based holistic teaching and learning by integrating traditional and innovative practices. Further, it will provide a platform for students for exploring their creative potential and nurturing the spirit of leadership, critical thinking and entrepreneurship. Though, we are living in the era of modern science and technology, this region is still fighting with some usual problems like flood, poor communication system, economic backwardness etc. The student community of this area is facing internet network problem as a result they don’t have access to online courses provided by the UGC and other agencies. Economic backwardness is a remarkable problem of this locality posing a great threat to the development of society. Lack of Political awareness, early marriage of girls, gender inequality, problem of self employment, lack of knowledge on health and hygiene and sanitation problem also appear as a hurdle for the development of society. The College family has been trying to impart knowledge by conducting various awareness programmes and other activities by engaging NSS and NCC unit apart from the regular institutional activities to overcome these challenges. Nowboicha College is a single stream degree college with arts stream only. The college authority is in the process of starting science and commerce streams so that it will be able to fulfill the demand of student’s community of this locality. We hope that we will get success to achieve this goal very soon with the support of the Govt. of Assam as well as the local people in large.
